PROFESSIONAL ETHICS IN PLANNING

INTRODUCTION

The aim of the Professional Ethics unit is to provide participants a more in depth understanding about ethical behaviour in planning, in both government and private sectors. The practice of professional planning is complex. Professional planners often face ethical issues with conflicting rationalities. They must be able to assess these issues, based on a set of principles, norms and expectations, in order to make well-informed and responsible decisions. This unit provides the grounding for planners to develop such skills.
