This course develops the ability to create a clearly written business plan. Participants build a foundation of critical knowledge and reinforce their learning through practical skills and tools of analysis, which creates an effective process for business planning.

Private, public and community sector enterprises whose key staff members are engaged in developing, reviewing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the organisation's business plan.

Review and develop the enterprise's strategic position
- Review enterprise purpose
- Clarify long-term objectives
- Analyse needs and expectations of stakeholders
- Determine critical success factors.
Developing the Operational Plan
- Align enterprise operational objectives with strategic direction
- Address the organisation's products and services; staffing; marketing; financing and risk management needs
Making the Plan workable
- Identify and articulate effective ways to measure performance of the enterprise
- Build a practical Action Plan for implementation
